Welcome to the official website of the Office of Mayor Hal J Rose. Thank you for your interest in my campaign for Mayor. While all of us in West Melbourne may have different reasons for choosing to call West Melbourne home, all of us have a special fondness for our city. We love what makes it special and unique, yet we also want to continually make it better. I am running for re-election for Mayor because I can continue to make a positive impact on the challenges we face in our City. By working together and building on momentum of my past term, we can keep the city moving forward.

I hope that people do see that I've worked hard to find creative solutions and build common ground as we strive together to make West Melbourne a better place. As a Planning and Zoning Board member, City Council member, and as Mayor, I have worked hard to keep in touch with issues that concern West Melbourne residents. I continually hear that public safety and maintaining quality city services are issues that are important to you. I’ve made increasing safety, insuring safer neighborhood streets, keeping property taxes at reasonable levels, and developing infrastructure my priorities as Mayor. It is important for the council to make and keep the promise to live within our means, hold taxes steady and continue to promote new jobs. Simply stated, I will demand that the city budget be balanced. As your Mayor, I have a pro-business agenda that focuses on economic development, quality growth and public safety.

A city is just like a business, but our customers are our citizens, like you and me. The skills that I bring include the ability to see different perspectives of an issue.
